About Dr. RJ Khan
She kept getting up.
Writer. Scholar. Survivor. Mother. Fighter.
Dr. RJ Khan spent twenty years evaluating brains that didn't fit the standard categories before writing about her own. She doesn't flinch on the page, because she learned a long time ago that flinching doesn't make the hard things go away.
Rocki: A Bridge Between Names and AuDHD is structured as a fighter's journey, each chapter a different round, each round a different battle. Childhood neglect. Sexual assault. Religious betrayal. Domestic violence. Traumatic brain injury. The invisible wars of AuDHD. It is the story of a woman who refused to stay down.
She is a clinician and board certified forensic mental health evaluator, and the Founder and Director of 505 Diagnostics in Albuquerque, where she conducted neuropsychological and now focuses on forensic evaluations. She holds a PhD in forensic psychology and has spent two decades assessing the people who arrive after years of being missed, misread, or told they simply weren't trying hard enough. She hosts the podcast ERP Chronicles.
She is a mother of four, a grandmother, and a speaker on late diagnosis and neurodivergence. She lives and writes in New Mexico.
